WWII vet finally gets city’s proclamation
It took a little while, but an Ahwatukee man who celebrated his 100th birthday, finally received the proclamation Mayor Kate Gallego issued in his honor. It happened last week for as city Councilman Kevin Robinson dropped by the home of World War II fighter pilot Dallas Workman to deliver a proclamation declaring June 14, 2024, Dallas Workman Day.
Firewise classes provide help for summer
Rural Metro Fire will host one of its Firewise classes at Carefree Fire Station 1 at 9 a.m. on July 20. The station is located at 37401 N. Tom Darlington Road.
