Worcester County DA identifies suspect in Northborough house party shooting that left 16-year-old dead
A 20-year-old man is being sought by police in a fatal May shooting at a home in Northborough, Massachusetts, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said Tuesday. Shortly after 1 a.m. on May 12, a partygoer flagged down a police officer and told them someone had brandished a gun at 333 Howard St., the property where the party was happening. As officers waited for assistance from additional officers and state police and prepared to enter the property, they heard multiple gunshots.

GEORGETOWN – The head-scratching move to share a part-time human resources officer who works with the city of Providence, RI, is over – at least for now. Paul Winspeare, the Rhode Island human resources officer, was working for the town of Georgetown about 10 hours a week at $75 an hour since last December.
School Committee approves various agenda items
Monday’s School Committee meeting saw the committee approve a number of agenda items. The committee voted 4-0 in favor of increasing hourly wages for cafeteria workers by $3 to $5 per hour. Chair Jenn Schaeffner explained that doing so is good for job retention and said the committee is able to vote on this issue because the cafeteria workers are no longer unionized.
