    Motorcyclist killed in Cumberland County crash

    CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — One man is dead after a crash in Cumberland County Friday afternoon.

    The Cumberland County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as William Mack, 67, of Carlisle.

    They said he was headed northbound on a motorcycle on Route 74 in Monroe Township and turned left onto Route 174, crossing paths with a pickup truck that was headed south on Route 74.

    The truck struck Mack and the man was flown to Carlisle Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Severe Weather Alerts

    The Cumberland County Department of Public Safety posted on Facebook that Route 74 and Boiling Springs Road was closed Friday afternoon.

    State Police and the Monroe Fire Department were among the first responders at the scene.
