Local girls team wins 2024 California Cup soccer tournament

City SC Carlsbad Girls Under 12 flight 1 soccer team won the 2024 California Cup on March 24.

The California Cup unites California with a true soccer championship, combining the winners and finalists from the U9-U12 age groups of NorCal and SOCAL’s State Cup to play against each other. City SC Carlsbad’s team is approximately half Encinitas school district residents and bested 86 teams, including the NorCal State Cup Champion, a news release stated.
