Two unrelated shootings in Minneapolis within 10 minutes; two suffer life-threatening injures
MINNNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating two different shootings that happened around 7 p.m. Saturday.The first shooting happened near the 2600 block of Third Avenue South. Officers were called to the scene on report of a shooting and found a man with life-threatening injuries. They provided CPR until EMS could arrive. The man was taken to Hennepin Healthcare. The second shooting happened around 10 minutes later near the 2500 block of Cedar Avenue South. A man was found near the 2600 block of Cedar Avenue South with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical aid before the victim was taken to Hennepin Healthcare. Police say the man was walking on 2500 block of Cedar after meeting a group when he was shot. He then ran a block before he collapsed. Police are investigating both shootings. An arrest has not been made in either shooting. Police say the two shootings do not appear to be related.

Riding one hundred miles to support those who served
For the fifteenth year in a row, local motor cyclists gathered at the Richard I Bong Veterans Historical Center in Superior for a ride to honor those who have served. Riders began at the Bong Center, rode to Iron River VFW, then R-C’s Decoy Inn in Solon Springs, to Bridge’s Bar and Patty’s Dockside in Lake Nebagamon and then returned to Superior.
Duluth Tropics blast Grand Rapids to win Legion Division 1 substate championship
On Saturday, the Duluth Tropics shut out Grand Rapids in the American Legion Division 1 substate championship game, winning 11-0. It was a complete team effort for the Tropics, as their pitching curated a shutout while their hitting got off to a hot start, putting up two runs in both the top of the first and second innings.
Duluth Mourns the Loss of Young Resident in Tragic N 47th Avenue Structure Fire
The Duluth Fire Department on Thursday disclosed the identity of an individual who perished in a recent structure fire, as reported by the official release from the department. The fire, which engulfed a property located in the 600 block of N 47th Avenue E, claimed the life of 25-year-old Duluth resident Maxton Gudowski, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. The department extended their condolences to the Gudowski family and friends during this time of mourning.
