Thunderbirds arrive for the Oregon International Airshow
PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The United States Air Force Thunderbirds arrive Thursday for the 2024 Oregon International Airshow. While the airshow will be held at the McMinnville Municipal Airport Aug 31 through Sept 2, the Thunderbirds will fly out of the 142nd Wing at the Portland Air National Guard Base to take part in the show.

The Chehalem Park and Recreation District is seeking applicants to fill spots on a committee that will continue plotting the future of trail efforts in the community. Wilsonville’s annual Emergency Preparedness Fair set for next weekend
Wilsonville residents can learn about building a “go kit,” preparing for wildfire season and more at the third annual Emergency Preparedness Fair. The event will take place between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 in the Stein-Boozier Barn at Memorial Park. Attendees will learn how to prepare for emergency situations, with topics including how to make preparations accounting for kids, pets and older adults, what supplies may be useful and more, according to the city website.
