DOUGLAS COUNTY, Kan. — A 45-year-old woman from Olathe was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on Kansas Highway 10 near Wakarusa Dr. on Friday afternoon. TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Stormont Vail Health’s Cotton O’Neil Heart Center received an award for maintaining 30 years of excellence in vascular testing. Stormont Vail Health officials announced that Cotton O’Neil Heart Center has received the Gold Milestone Recognition from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The award recognizes 30 years of excellence for the vascular testing facility. Renovated Sams Chapel Reopening This Fall
One of the most notable buildings on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University will reopen this fall, refurbished and remodeled. According to KWU, a fully renovated Sams Chapel will reopen Saturday, Oct. 19, as part of Homecoming 2024. The new performance space will be christened with a special concert, titled ‘Come Home,’ which will get underway at 7 p.m. and feature celebrated musical guests from KWU’s recent past. Aine Hakamatsuka ’12 and Christian McQueen ’18 are among those scheduled to perform.
