Emporia High holds Red and Black Scrimmage heading into game week
The countdown to game day for Emporia High is quickly approaching. As the Spartans prepare for game week, they held a Red and Black Scrimmage on Saturday. The Spartans scrimmaged for 40 minutes to conclude the community event that featured scrimmages from the Mighty Spartans 4th and 5th grade teams, the Emporia Recreation’s 6th grade tackle football team, and the Emporia Middle School Junior Spartans.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Four individuals were injured after an erratic driver speeding on I-35 hit their vehicle and drove away before first responders arrived. CIVIC, or the Community Inspired Violence Intervention Coalition, is a community-based collective, addressing the systems causing homicides and gun violence in Shawnee County.
