Ellsworth Bike Party looks to welcome cyclists
ELLSWORTH, Maine (WABI) - A handful of cyclists from the Ellsworth area meet every month to take in the city on two wheels. “I used to ride my bike a lot in England, but England was very flat, and everywhere it’s kind of close together. The towns are not far apart. So, when I moved to Maine, it was quite a shock that there’s big distances between places and it’s very hilly and I wasn’t really enjoying biking. I felt like there was a lot of traffic and there weren’t other people riding bikes and I really thought ‘Oh, it would be nice to make Ellsworth more bike friendly,’” explained Ellsworth Bike Party Organizer, Alice Slater.
