Tahir Shoatz Charged In West Philly Mass Shooting: PPD
Tahir Shoatz, 28, is charged with three counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder plus related offenses, said PPD Commissioner Kevin Bethel on Tuesday, July 23. The shooting happened on the 1200 block of North Alden Street in the Carroll Park neighborhood around 2 a.m., authorities said previously. Two groups exchanged gunfire during a cookout, investigators believe.

Wilmington Manor Crash with Entrapment on South DuPont
On June 28, 2024, the New Castle County Paramedics responded with the Wilmington Manor Fire Company and surrounding mutual aid companies to the area of South DuPont Highway and Quigley Boulevard, for the report of an MVA with entrapment and multiple patients. Arriving units found a collision involving a tractor trailer, SUV and compact car. The New Castle County Paramedics treated and transported three patients from the collision to a local trauma center on board ambulances from the Good Will Fire Company of New Castle, Minquadale Fire Company and the Wilmington Manor Fire Company.
Temple bulk trash pickup service returns
A part of being a good neighbor as a Temple student is helping to keep our surrounding neighborhood clean. Last year, Temple Service Operations designed TUmove, a free on-demand type of trash collection service for students living off campus, in response to the critical mass of trash left in prior years during move-out. TUmove manages the pickup and disposal of bulk trash, preventing trash and unwanted furniture from accumulating on the streets and sidewalks when leases traditionally end.
