15-year-old girl shot in neck in Philadelphia's Logan section, police say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 15-year-old girl was shot in the neck in Philadelphia's Logan section on Tuesday night, police said. The shooting happened on the 1400 block of West Loudon Street just after 8:15 p.m., according to police. Police said the 15-year-old was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and placed in critical but stable condition. So far, no arrests have been made and no weapons were recovered. Earlier Tuesday in the city's Oxford Circle section, police said a 16-year-old boy was shot four times and killed. Police said more than 50 shots were fired and they're looking for several suspects with automatic weapons in connection with the deadly shooting.

After a scoreless duel between Phillies ace Zack Wheeler and Twins rookie Simeon Woods Richardson, Philadelphia took control in the ninth against Minnesota closer Jhoan Duran (5-5).

Philadelphia airport workers rally for higher wages in new contract
Philadelphia International Airport workers held a rally Tuesday as they attempt to negotiate a new contract with higher hourly wages and better benefits. Baggage handlers, security guards and more said contractors were supposed to increase their pay from $15.71 to $17.20 per hour, plus a $4.98 hourly health care supplement, on Jan. 1. That higher rate comes from the city's prevailing wage law, which is set by the federal government. Daisy Cruz, district leader for 32BJ SEIU, which represents workers, said these 1,000 workers are contracted primarily with American Airlines.
