Corey Comperatore, a beloved firefighter from Armstrong County who was killed during the assassination attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump, has been laid to rest today, Thursday, July 18, 2024. My heart and prayers go to Mr. Comperatore’s family and friends, and to all who were injured during the shooting. I am also saddened for the family of the young man who carried out such an act of deplorable violence, losing his own life in the process.

For 11-year-old Brecksville resident Brady Lewandowski, checkered flags and finishing ahead of the pack has become a way of life. Lewandowski, who began go-kart racing at age 5, won his first championship in the 8-12 age group at Thompson Kart Raceway in 2021.
