The Young and the Restless: Kyle and Summer Custody Drama – Audra Hidden Influence

Summer and Kyle simply are not able to come to any understanding. Though Summer and Kyle have not been able to, Victor has pushed them to figure out a custody arrangement for Harrison's sake. Naturally, Summer's obsession with Audra getting access to Harrison and becoming a threat is a contributing factor to the issue. The fact that it defies logic leads us to surmise that Summer has additional motivations for keeping Kyle away from his ex. Perhaps Summer is, deep down, attempting to prevent Kyle from sharing Audra's bed with her once more.

Is Audra the Real Issue?

Summer might still hold resentment towards Audra, as Kyle hooked up with her on multiple occasions when he was still married to her. That could be the reason behind Summer's obsession with getting Audra out of the picture. Even if it is only in her subconscious, Summer might still think of Audra as "the other woman." In any case, a lot of attention has recently been drawn to how Summer and Kyle actually did love each other once.

When things got heated, Claire urged Kyle to keep in mind that Y&R might be hinting at the true feelings that are simmering beneath the surface between Kyle and Summer. All this animosity may be the result of some unfulfilled desires, so what if the show allows those desires to finally surface? It might serve as a prelude to Summer and Kyle giving in to a passion driven by rage.

Will Kyle and Summer Reignite Their Romance

Kyle and Summer may at some point find themselves in a GCAC suite, where a heated argument occurs. Summer and Kyle could easily fall into bed together if they ever got into a fight next to a bed. They might have to process some difficult feelings as a result of the aftermath. They might also be persuaded to consider the possibility of a custody solution by a hot hookup. Since Claire is crushing on Kyle, it could also deal a serious blow to her.

In addition, once Chance finds out, Summer's relationship with him will undoubtedly collapse.

There would be valid reasons for Y&R to allow Kyle and Summer to rekindle their relationship. Even though this new development in the custody dispute does not lead to a full-blown romantic reunion, Summer and Kyle may still end up in a sticky situation and have to deal with it.
