However, the attorney is not absolutely empty-handed. Michael explains that his investigations discovered that Jill suffers from heart difficulties, which is why she put Billy in charge of Chancellor.
Victor finds the news fascinating, but not enough to get Michael out of the doghouse. Victor then puts up another hoop for Michael to leap through, forcing him to cross a boundary somewhere between shady and horrible.

Despite Michael's reservations, he eventually decides to do what Victor requests. We believe that this might have a significant negative impact on Michael.
After all, he's likely to break the trust in his marriage, which might lead to his trading Victor's doghouse for Lauren's.
