To attend his uncle Lord Robert Fellowes' funeral, Prince Harry recently made his way back to the United Kingdom. During the trip, the Duke of Sussex reportedly stayed at Princess Diana's ancestral home, Althorp House. Harry reportedly maintains a close relationship with his late mother's family as well. Now, a new report has suggested that both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may return to the U.K. in December at the invitation of Princess Diana's family.

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been invited to celebrate Christmas at Althorp House, where his late mother, Princess Diana, grew up. The invitation came from Harry's uncle, Charles Spencer, as the couple has not spent the festive season in the UK since 2018.

"This Christmas, Charles [Spencer] has invited Harry, Meghan, and the kids to Althorp. The offer is there if they want it, but it is far too soon to tell if they will accept it, a source disclosed.

Meghan Markle would make her first trip back to England since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022 if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, decide to leave their California home and travel to England. Additionally, the royal family has not yet extended an invitation to the couple to spend Christmas at Sandringham. Even if invited, the source continued, it is unlikely that Harry and Meghan would show up.

    Spencers' Extend Support

Both the royal "summer summit" at Balmoral in August 2024 and the Christmas party at Sandringham last year were missed by Harry and Meghan.

The source went on to say that during Harry's August solo trip to Britain, he paid a visit to his mother's side and went to the Norfolk memorial service for Diana's brother-in-law, Lord Robert Fellowes.

The brothers reportedly avoided each other and sat apart at the funeral, even though Prince William was also present.

The report also mentioned Charles Spencer's attendance at the Invictus Games' tenth anniversary in London, which was attended by none of the senior royals.

A source also suggested that the Spencers could be the key to getting Prince William and Prince Harry to mend their royal rift.

The Spencers are trying to reconcile brothers. They understand Harry's position because of the way the Windsors treated Diana, but they also understand William's hurt at Harry's betrayal."

It seems that 2024 might be very different from 2023 when Meghan and Harry are said to have not celebrated Christmas in the United Kingdom.

According to the reports, Prince Harry is content with his life in California and has no plans to resume royal duties in the UK.

Why should they. These people have 60-70M. Why do they think other people should fund them? Plus he has another inheritance to piss through coming.
