Owners Left Sweet Blind Dog “Sky” After Years of Service

Reading the title, you might have started to feel anger towards the owner and a lot of pity for the dog. Right? Well, why not? It is so cruel to just throw your dog off after that pooch served the best of her years for you.

But, everything happens for the best and the story of this dog is a fair example. While she was treated at her previous owner’s house, she was given the right care and a lot of love at the rescue, where she got healthy and became a happy dog. Here is the story of the innocent dog named Sky.

The Heartbreaking Goodbye

One day, a vet was visited by a family with their dog. The family abandoned the dog, saying that they no longer needed it, and turned their backs towards Sky, leaving her feeling disheartened.

The dog was admitted to the Good Dog-Dog Talk Animal Rescue in Brea, California.

When the rescue received the dog, they could immediately suspect that the dog had been used for breeding. 

Sky was blind in one eye and was quite a lot malnourished, weighing just around thirty pounds. The allergies, overgrown nails, and being skinny, suggested that the dog was not taken care of and was just put in the backyard.

Sky's New Beginning

After this incident, Sky was too timid and fearful. The staff at the rescue brought her food and despite being fearful, she immediately jumped to eat it.

After the food, Sky was given a relaxing bath and then they sat off outside towards the yard. This gave Sky some time to accommodate the new place and make herself feel at home.

Now, sky sensed that she was safe with the caregivers at the rescue and rested her head on their lap.

Under the care of the rescue, Sky soon adjusted well to the environment of the shelter. Whenever she would see the caregivers preparing to take her out for a walk, she would wiggle her tail excitedly.

Sky also loves to cuddle with the caregivers at the rescue, to absorb the love she was denied by the previous owner.

A volunteer at the rescue posted a video of Sky on the internet, hoping that someone would love Sky the way she is and shower her with the love and care she deserves. The dog really has a lot of love to give and she deserves an owner who accepts her with all her flaws.
