Shelter Dog Finding a Foster Sister

A dog’s life is full of shocks and even if they are rescued, sometimes they find it difficult to adjust the environment of the shelter. Maybe because they need that push, that love, that playfulness, and that freedom.

Such is the story of Chennile, who at first remained quiet and fearful until she met a little girl. See how the little dog turned to be a playful one and made friends with the humans.

    Chenille’s Rescue and Struggles

Chenille was a cute dog who was timid and fearful until she met her sister in a 2-year-old little girl. On the streets of Ohio, Chenille was found by a rescue team and was taken to the shelter.

When she arrived there, she was very fearful which didn't change for a few months. She would just walk around the shelter with her back hunched, ears back, and tail tucked as he was not doing so well in the shelter environment.

While the environment there was warm, Chenille was not able to enjoy it to the fullest She always stayed quiet which is quite uncommon for a dog.

After spending around two and a half months at the shelter, she was adopted by Planned Pethood, Inc. and Harden lent a hand to foster the dog. When she went with her, she was all the same but it was a matter of a few hours that she started to show her playful side.

    Chenille and Lila

Harden had a 2-year-old" daughter named “Lila.” Lila loved to be chased around by dogs and when she met Chenille, she started playing with the dog. Chenille picked up the energy and started playing with the little girl.

The time with the little girl with her love for dogs and playfulness proved to be a breakthrough moment for the dog as the girl could revive the ost spirit of happiness and cheerfulness of Chennile.

Chenille is now a completely changed dog. She would happily mingle with the other dogs around the shelter, play with everyone at the shelter, and would also kiss anyone who wanted.

From once being a timid dog, Chenille is now a friendly one. She is especially gentle with Lila and both of them continue to play together.

While the shelter environment was warm, Chenille could not grow up in the packed environment.

After being brought to the foster, she picked up soon and became a happy and playful dog again.
