The Bold and the Beautiful: Ridge Reunion Could Break Brooke Trust

Taylor thinks she's content being single on The Bold and the Beautiful, but will she reconsider having Ridge play a larger role in her life as she deals with her health issues?

Though Steffy told her mother that she would not play matchmaker on the episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, she has made it known that she would want to see her parents reconcile.

Taylor appears to be okay with being unmarried as long as she is with her family.

But as Taylor battles her health concerns, we believe she may rethink having Ridge in her life again.

Can Ridge Stay Away?

Ridge is not going to leave Taylor alone after he discovers she is not just unwell, but dying.

That will alter everything. And if he begins spending more time with her, he may reignite his affection for her.

Taylor does not appear to have any aspirations to renew her relationship with Ridge.

He's with Brooke, after all, yet when Taylor and Ridge are together, there's no doubt that their connection is still there, and their love for their children seems to pull them back to where they were so long ago.

Taylor may not believe she requires Ridge's assistance in her survival efforts, but as Li pointed out, she does.

She may not want to accept it now, but even the strongest individuals require assistance when their lives are on the line.

Of course, rekindling things with Ridge will be difficult after Taylor informed Brooke that she wanted to renew their connection.

Steffy’s Wish Comes True?

Taylor feels that if she and Brooke can rekindle their friendship, or at least be courteous, it will help to heal the divide between their daughters.

We don't think Taylor's reconciliation with Ridge will do anything to assist Steffy and Hope; Hope continues reminding Steffy that Ridge is now with Brooke and that won't change, but Steffy has no trouble keeping hope for her parents alive.

It's a difficult scenario, to be sure.

Taylor may not think she needs — or wants — Ridge back in her life, but as she faces an uncertain future, we believe she will reevaluate everything, which will undoubtedly make some ripples as time passes.

As Taylor faces the fight of her life, will she finally open her heart to Ridge again, or will their rekindled connection shatter the fragile peace between her and Brooke?
