The Young and the Restless: Nate Faces Shocking Family Revelations with Amy Return

Will Nate realize that he has a half-brother? Will this brother put his eyes on Lily?

When it was announced that Hollywood veteran Valarie would be joining The Young and the Restless as Amy, there was a lot of speculation about what kind of storyline she may face.

For those who don't remember, Amy was a supporting character in the 1980s who worked as Paul's secretary and spent her leisure time with pals Danny, Traci, and Lauren.

Amy was also the love interest of Nate's father Nathan before unexpectedly leaving town. Amy's friendship with Nathan precedes his engagement with Olivia.

Will Nate's New Sibling Steal Lily's Heart?

With that stated, it appears Amy's return to Genoa City will involve Nate.

After Nate finishes a talk with Audra on The Young and the Restless, he receives a strange text message from Amy, whom he does not recognize.

This unusual text message conversation perplexes Nate.

Given that Pettiford is not set to be on the soap until October 29 and her homecoming has already been hinted, with Amy emailing about a "urgent family matter," we must consider the potential that the Hastings/Winter clan is going to expand explosively.

It's not difficult to see Amy leaving Genoa City decades ago and discovering she was pregnant with Nathan's baby.

However, instead of telling Nathan, she decided to raise the kid on her own. If we were to guess why she kept the news to herself, we would propose two hypotheses.

Amy’s Return Changes Everything!

One possibility is that she was concerned that Nathan's previous criminal ties might endanger their child, despite the fact that he had redeemed his life and was now working for Paul as a private investigator.

Or two, she just wanted to leave Nathan and Genoa City in search of a new beginning.

Anyway, fast forward to the present, and we believe Amy is reaching out to Nate in the hopes that he might assist her kid, Nate's brother.

We may see a scenario in which Amy's kid requires an organ transplant of some type and hopes that Nathan is the ideal match.

Naturally, Nate would be doubtful about Amy's claim to have a sibling, but we believe Nate would eventually be eager to assist.

Unfortunately, we are unsure if Amy will provide the complete history of Nate's sibling. Could he, like Nathan, have a troubled background that could endanger people who come into his orbit?
