CSU wins three national honors for fundraising, wine project and podcast
Colorado State has earned three awards – a gold, a silver and a bronze – in a national competition hosted by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The Gold Circle of Excellence Award from CASE was given for last fall’s Giving Tuesday, which benefited the Rams Against Hunger Meal Swipe Program. The Silver went to CAM’s Wine Club, and the Bronze was awarded for CSU’s The Audit podcast.

Apex Waste Solutions purchases local Waste Management routes and Twin Enviro
Twin Enviro Services and the local routes for Waste Management have both been purchased by Apex Waste Solutions out of Parker, Colo. The sale went into effect on July 1. A person at Apex says they will be reaching out to all customers, which is mostly in Steamboat Springs and Routt County, but some are in Craig.

Greeley Gets Proactive On Homelessness
Greeley is now utilizing a Homeless Outreach Team and a Rapid Re-Housing Team tasked with helping people find stable housing. The Greeley Tribune reports the outreach team is a 10-person, mobile unit working 10 hours a day, seven days a week. The outreach team has at least one van on the street at a time, visiting different locations around the city where people congregate. The team helps clients access housing options and resources such as vital documents, in addition to helping them apply for benefits and finding transportation to appointments.
