Man dead after firearm was discharged in Carroll County gun store.
A man is dead after a firearm discharged at a gun shop in Carroll County, according to a release from Kentucky State Police. KSP Post 5 personnel responded to a call that came in about 8:30 p.m. Saturday regarding a shooting in a gun shop at 1496 Whites Run Road, the release stated. When personnel arrived, Chad Wainscott, 50, was being treated for a gunshot wound.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Carroll County man was shot and killed inside a gun store Saturday, when a customer accidentally fired a gun he considered buying. Kentucky State Police said in a news release Monday that troopers responded Saturday night to the report of a shooting at Humphrey Double H Farms Enterprises Inc. on Whites Run Road, just south of Interstate 71 in Carroll County.
Owen County man killed in shooting
An Owen County man has died in what officials believe was an accidental discharge of a firearm at a Carroll County gun shop on Saturday night. Chad Alan Wainscott, 50, of Wheatley was at Humphreys Double H Sales, 1496 Whites Run Road, Carrollton on Saturday, June 29, when another customer at the gun shop unknowingly discharged a loaded gun, striking Wainscott at about 8:30 p.m.
