Walton Theater reopens this week with kid-friendly movies
Dallas County’s only movie theater is back. After being closed for repairs for almost exactly a year, the Walton Theater returned with a “soft opening” Friday, July 12. The number of educators retiring in Alabama is climbing again, with nine school districts seeing the highest number of retirements in the past decade. Just under 3,100 employees retired from July of 2023 through June of 2024, according to the Teachers Retirement Systems of Alabama.
