Chad Snyder appointed to state board of funeral directors
As a third-generation funeral director, Chad Snyder has a unique perspective of the profession. In 1947, Chad's grandfather, Charles F. Snyder, opened a funeral home in downtown Lancaster, and the business grew to offer locations in Millersville, Willow Street, Lititz and other parts of the county. Chad watched his father, Chip Snyder, run the business after Charles retired, and Chad became the director in 2018. Chad was appointed to the Pennsylvania State Board of Directors earlier this year, and he said he plans to use his experience to bridge the gap between funeral directors and state legislators to benefit Lancaster and communities throughout the state.

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — Police say an Oil City woman was arrested with 28 baggies of heroin in Blair County on Monday evening. According to Hollidaysburg-based State Police, troopers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 99 south, in Allegheny Township, Blair County, around 4:24 p.m. on Monday, July 22.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The state is suing a Pittsburgh-area home contractor, alleging that his company used illegal contracts and didn't complete jobs or give refunds. The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General said it filed a lawsuit against Brothers All Around Service, LLC and owner John McDonald after several customers complained that they paid the company large sums upfront for jobs that weren't finished.Many consumers who paid Brothers for major home improvement projects had to hire separate contractors to finish the jobs and even repair the work in some cases, the attorney general's office said. A Michigan man is accused of leaving his ex-girlfriend in Mercer County hundreds of unwanted messages, as well as stalking her. According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police her ex-boyfriend, identified as 28-year-old Aldo Bardhi, has been stalking her since December of 2023 and leaving her hundreds of unwanted voicemails and text messages.
