Brunswick 13-16 stars go 1-2 in state tourney
The host Brunswick team ran into some strong competition in the Virginia Babe Ruth 13-16 year old tournament in Lawrenceville but fought hard to compile a 1-2 record. The team fell 14-2 to Lakeside, the defending state champions, in their opener before rallying to top Western Branch 9-7 in an elimination contest on Saturday. Brunswick was bounced from the tournament after falling 9-4 to Winchester on Sunday.

The event will be this Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 to 1 and riders can ride, learn, and practice rider safety through the S.I.P.D.E process which stands for Scan, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute.
