Transfer QB, Re-Energized Offense Power Unbeaten Pitt
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — North Carolina looks to snap a two-game losing skid when it plays host to undefeated Pittsburgh on Saturday afternoon at Kenan Stadium (noon, ESPN2). The Panthers (4-0) are unbeaten through four games for the first time since 2000, back when they were playing football in the Big East Conference. The Big East, of course, has since eliminated football and Pitt joined the ACC in 2011. Pitt handled Kent State in the season opener (55-24), before knocking off a pair of Big 12 teams. The Panthers squeaked by on the road at Cincinnati (28-27), and won the Backyard Brawl at home over West Virginia (38-34). Pitt then blasted FCS program Youngstown State (73-17), and took a break last week with its first open date on the schedule.
