Circuit Court Judge Daniel Damman rejected a request for Carmello Wilson's release, despite the juvenile having spent over a year incarcerated. Missing Forestville woman found safe after missing for over 24 hours
A Forestville woman has been found alive after wandering away from home yesterday morning. 74-year-old Sharron Perkins was found around 11:50 a.m. this morning in an area north of Forestville. The search for a missing 74-year-old Forestville woman with special needs had resumed Monday morning at 9:00 a.m., with many area agencies and community members assisting in yesterday’s search efforts. Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a call shortly before 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, from the family of 74-year-old Sharron Perkins, reporting that she had walked away from a residence on Bay City-Forestville Road in Forestville. Perkins, who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, had been missing for about 40 minutes when dispatch was called. Sanilac County Sheriff deputies, as well as the Delaware Township Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene, with additional personnel requested to assist. Agencies assisting in the search included: the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Michigan State Police K-9, Sanilac County AERO Unit, Michigan State Police Aviation Unit, Sanilac County Dive Team, Southeast Michigan Dive Group, Sanilac County Search & Rescue, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Minden City Fire Department, Port Sanilac Fire Department and Christian Aid Ministries Search & Rescue. Numerous area fire department, EMS personnel and Community Members also joined the search. Sanilac County Sheriff Paul Rich wishes to thank all who assisted in the search, be they professionals or volunteers.

A driver who was travelling eastbound on westbound lanes of Interstate 69 was severely injured in a crash Sunday night near Capac. A news release from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office states dispatchers received a call about a wrong-way driver around 9:30 p.m. Before deputies could arrive on the interstate, a rollover crash involving the driver was called in.
