Silver Alert issued for missing Carter County man

A Silver Alert has been issued on behalf of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office for Victor Birchfield, who has gone missing.

Birchfield, 61, is described as a white male, 5’6″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with grey hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen on June 19 in Elizabethton, Tenn., wearing an orange/red shirt, grey basketball shorts, leather shoes, and black socks.

Birchfield is believed to be traveling in a silver 2003 Toyota 4Runner with Tennessee license plate 070BKZV. The vehicle has noticeable damage on the rear. Authorities are concerned for his safety as he has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
