A series of fortunate events leads to restocking of area food pantries in effort by Carteret County Food Recovery Program
MOREHEAD CITY — The volunteer Carteret County Food Recovery Program this week culminated a nearly one-year-long effort by distributing 1,345 cases of nonperishable items, weighing 32,000 pounds, to 24 different food pantries and related service organizations in the area. The larger pantries received more than 100 cases of items.
