SALYERSVILLE – With two weeks left until school begins, the Magoffin County Schools District is preparing for the new year. In the Tuesday, July 23 Magoffin County School Board meeting, Superintendent Chris Meadows told the board that the first day of school for students is August 8, and the elementary schools have been holding “kindercamps” to help the incoming kindergarteners to be ready for the school year.
