Driver gets max sentence for striking deputy
CARO – Peter T. O’Brien received the maximum sentence for driving drunk and striking a Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office deputy, seriously injuring the officer. Tuscola County District Judge Jason E. Bitzer sentenced O’Brien, 55, of Caro to 40 months to five years in prison for striking Deputy Thomas R. Peterson with O’Brien’s vehicle.
