Board of Education names new Guthrie Upper Elementary principal
In a regular session held tonight, the Guthrie Board of Education approved the hiring of Michelle Wilson-Adams as the new principal for Guthrie Upper Elementary School (GUES). Wilson-Adams brings a wealth of experience from her seven-year tenure at Oklahoma City Public Schools, where she served six years as an Assistant Principal at Rogers and Taft Middle Schools. Most recently, she was the campus administrator at the Linwood Campus of Taft Middle School, overseeing the education of 5th graders.

Parks Trust meets to discuss final Sculpture Park agreement
The Edmond Parks Conservancy Trust met Friday to discuss the final agreement yet to be approved for the Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park. The meeting precedes the next Edmond City Council meeting, scheduled for Monday, June 10, at which a vote on the final agreement is expected. The Operations, Maintenance and Programming Agreement is one of four that must be approved by Council in order for park construction to begin.
