Signatures turned in for State Question 832 which would raise the minimum wage in Oklahoma
Raise the Wage Oklahoma turned in nearly twice as many signatures as needed to qualify State Question 832 to appear on a ballot, the group reported this week. They had 90 days to gather 92,263 signatures from registered Oklahoma voters, and say they ended up getting about 180,000. If passed, SQ832 would gradually raise the minimum wage in the state to $15.00 an hour by 2029. [See related story HERE]
Drummond scolds board for not voiding contract with ‘unconstitutional’ Catholic charter school
In a letter to the board, Drummond said he found it unacceptable that the board (and the Statewide Virtual Charter School Board before it) had held two meetings and both times had failed to rescind the contract despite an order from the Oklahoma State Supreme Court to do so.

State election board conducts drawing to determine ballot order
A public drawing was held July 16 by the Secretary of the State Election Board, Paul Ziriax, to determine the ballot order for political parties and Independent candidates for the Nov. 5 General Election ballot. The drawing was held in accordance with state law at 9:30 a.m. at the State Capitol Building, Room G3, in Oklahoma City.
