One of the most unique events in America happening in West Virginia on Saturday

CASS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One of the most unique events in the United States is set to occur in West Virginia this Saturday.

We have all seen parades with vintage automobiles, fire trucks, and tractors… but what about century-old steam locomotives?

That’s right! The fifth annual Parade of Steam will take place at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park in Cass this Saturday, June 15.

The event is part of the annual Cass Days festival which will take place Friday and Saturday.

The festival features multiple food and craft vendors, live music, and a chance to get up close and personal with the locomotives featured in the parade.

The legendary locomotives will begin staging at the Cass Depot at 9:30 AM, and the parade will officially begin at 10 AM and last for about an hour.

Admission into the event is completely free and it draws thousands each year to rural Pocahontas County.

Officials estimated around 4,000 attendees at the 2023 Parade of Steam.

Along with a host of vendors, the Rail & Trail Store located inside the Cass Depot will be open throughout the day for souvenirs including Parade of Steam merchandise.
