F anatics CEO Michael Rubin has found himself in hot water after some disparaging comments he made about Black people.

The businessman is in New York this week for Fanatics Fest, which runs through this weekend and aims to unite all sports fans.

Amid a press run, he stopped by The Breakfast Club to chat about the fest, his July 4 White Party, and his friendship with Meek Mill .

While discussing the Philly rapper, he shot down all the rumors accusing him of being gay, which were only magnified upon former Bad Boy producer Lil Rod claiming Meek was intimate with Diddy .

“When I see the narrative of a really good friend of mine like Meek. If he was gay –and there’s not one gay bone in his body– Who cares? If people wanna be gay, it is 2024; who the f-ck cares? Number 2, there’s not a gay bone in his body,” Rubin said. “Why do people wanna change the narrative about a bet he made with me to hurt him?”

No one batted an eye at him defending his friend, but he explained how the jokes at Meek’s expense represent a bigger issue in the Black community.

“Something I’ve learned about black culture that I don’t like is black hate on hate. It’s horrible. I feel lucky and fortunate to do what I do every day. In business and charitable things, I’m always trying to be helpful. Why does someone wanna bring someone else down?” he questioned. “Let’s try to build everyone up. I think there’s a little bit of a Black culture of Black hate-on-hate. Like that black judge that Meek had and hated him and wanted to go extra hard on him. I think it’s terrible. I think it’s something culturally wrong. I’m probably going to get killed for saying this.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Rubin discussed former Meek foe Drake showing up to the all-white party at the height of the Kendrick Lamar beef and admitted that “Not Like Us” was banned from the audio system.

“Drake’s my friend for a long time. I’m not gonna invite him — and look, he’s obviously going through a little bit of a battle right now — I’m not gonna have him come there… I just didn’t think it was appropriate,” he said. “So I sent a note and said, ‘Hey, let’s not play anyone’s music that’s feuding with anyone that’s [at the party].’”
