E ven though Kevin Hart ‘fessed up after a blackmail scheme to extort money from him after he cheated on his pregnant wife, Eniko, more is being revealed about the weekend back in 2017 when it happened. Apparently, he admitted that he was on Molly when it all went down.

In a deposition filed in LA Superior Court on Aug. 6, as part of former friend Jonathan “JT” Jackson’s lawsuit against him Hart confessed that one of his friends—who he’s keeping anonymous—pressured him to take the drug.

Even though Hart at first told the friend, “Nah, drugs aren’t really my thing,” he eventually gave in, saying, “F–- it,” and dropped the Molly into his drink. He figured he’d be fine since his drink was purposely watered down and said he thought, “The night is good.”

Fast forward, Hart, 45, ended up in Vegas with a woman named Montia Sabbag—the woman he’d later hook up with. In the deposition, he said he brought Sabbag and another woman named Morgan back to his hotel room. After Morgan left, Hart and Sabbag crashed.

Hart insists he didn’t sleep with Sabbag that night, but did the next morning when he says she woke him up. He went on to reveal that during their, um, encounter, he realized in hindsight that Sabbag was trying to get closer to a hidden camera that ended up recording their little rendezvous. That same tape was later used in an attempt to extort him for millions.

Hart also suspects that someone planted the camera beforehand because he swears he never noticed Sabbag getting out of bed. About a year after the tape was made, Hart’s buddy JT Jackson was arrested and slapped with two felony extortion charges, but those charges were dropped in 2021. Though some of the metadata surrounding the various emails used to threaten Hart were linked to him, Jackson says he is innocent. That’s why he’s filing a lawsuit.

As Cassiuslife previously reported, he claims that Hart made up evidence and broke a previous agreement between them. According to Jackson, they had a “meticulously negotiated” settlement in July 2021 where Hart was supposed to make a public statement clearing Jackon’s name and saying that the scandal cost him a valuable friendship. But instead, Hart just posted on Instagram that Jackson was found not guilty because the charges were dropped—definitely not the same vibe.

Now, Jackson’s suing Hart for over $12 million in damages and wants a trial. Fortunately, Hart has other things going on. He just finished his commenting duties for the Summer Olympics, hosting recaps this time with Kenan Thompson. (Snoop, who he shared the screen with last year, expanded to official Summer Games ambassador this year.)

Hart recently announced a new show with Taraji P. Henson called Morewood Family Rules which will be written and executive produced by Dear White People creator Justin Simien.

The miniseries Fight Night starring Hart, Don Cheadle, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson is coming to Peacock on Sept. 5. It’s based on the true story of an armed robbery that took place the night of Muhammad Ali’s comeback fight in 1970 in Atlanta.
