Travis Kelce’s Ex Kayla Nicole Talks Rumors Of Him Being Cheap & Swifties Hate

Shots of Taylor Swift in a booth may be clogging your Kansas City Chiefs games now, but there was a woman in Travis Kelce ‘s life before.

Model and entrepreneur Kayla Nicole was in a relationship with the tight end from 2017 until calling it quits in 2022.

After their breakup, he became more popular outside of just sports fanatics, and rumors began to swirl about why he split with Nicole. Many signs pointed to him being cheap and wanting her to pay for everything 50-50 .

Nicole previously dismissed the rumor on social media, but on a recent episode of Angel Reese ‘s Unapologetically Angel podcast, she addressed the comments again.

“Do I look like I would go 50-50 on bills? So, yeah, that was ridiculous,” Nicole told Reese. “But he addressed that too though. I don’t even know why that became a thing. It was never an issue during our relationship, but it was definitely a rumor on the internet.”

She’s referring to Kelce’s appearance on the The Pivot podcast . He clarified that they were in a relationship, so it was normal for either of them to pay for something without expecting anything in return because she had her own income.

“She had a very financially stable life and what she was doing in her career. You’ve got to be crazy if you think I’d never helped or gave her a couple dollars to grab some food or she gave me some money… We were in a relationship for five years. A hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there wasn’t even thought about, which is ridiculous,” he explained.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Nicole admits that she’s dealing with not just the breakup but also the onslaught of criticism she’s gotten from the Swifties and people debating the ladies’ worth in her social media comments.

“I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos didn’t impact me — it does. Even to this day,” Nicole said. “I think that there’s something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people, and it’s unfortunate because I’ve never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash.”

She even admits that the two have seen each other out since the public breakup, but she knows that if they interact, it will become a media storm.
