Manufacturer agrees to $85,000 settlement for violating air laws at Manitowoc facility
MANITOWOC (WLUK) -- Violations of Wisconsin's air laws at a Manitowoc manufacturing facility will cost Kerry Inc. $85,000. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced details of the settlement Monday, which requires Kerry Inc. to pay a total of $85,000 in forfeitures, surcharges and court costs to resolve violations of Wisconsin air laws related to its liquid smoke manufacturing facility in Manitowoc.
Man Arrested For Break-In And Assault
A Dubuque man was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with breaking into a home and severely injuring another man. Dubuque Police say 29 year old James Stewart (the second) was charged with first degree burglary. Police say Stewart kicked in a door to a home in the 14-hundred block of Jackson Street and assaulted the man who was found unresponsive and bleeding from the face and hands. The victim was taken to MercyOne Medical Center for treatment.

With a successful debut and run in 1986 in San Diego, California, the production premiered on Broadway the following year where it won three major Tony Awards. Featuring everyone’s favorite fairy tale characters, Sondheim and Lapine's second collaboration tells the whimsical story of dreams, sacrifice and a journey of paths intertwined by chance exploring the true cost of granted wishes. "Into the Woods" brings an entirely new meaning to storytelling and this enchanting story is one for audiences of all ages to enjoy. The production runs July 26, 27, Aug. 2, and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and July 28 and Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall in the Center for the Arts on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

It’s game day at the state tournament for both the Wahlert High School baseball and softball team. The top ranked and top seeded Golden Eagles baseball team (33-9) will meet 8th seed Central Dewitt (25-12) at 7:30 this evening at Kernels Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.
