MAINE, USA — Snowy and Moses are in foster care through Lucky Pup Rescue Maine, and are hoping to find a new forever home soon. According to the rescue organization, Snowy had been attacked by a bigger dog which permanently injured her back; in turn, she sometimes loses control of her bladder when excited or playing. While she has adorable incontinence pants, Snowy is still able to walk around, and even run with joy.
AP announces 3 new content collaborations with nonprofit newsrooms
The Associated Press today announced three new content sharing agreements with U.S. nonprofit news newsrooms: Deep South Today, The Maine Monitor and The Nevada Independent. The new content collaborations follow arrangements AP announced in May with CalMatters, Honolulu Civil Beat, Montana Free Press, Nebraska Journalism Trust and South Dakota News Watch, along with a content sharing arrangement between AP and The Texas Tribune announced in March.
Memorial service held for missing Houlton pilot
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The Maine Army National Guard held a memorial service earlier on Saturday at the Maine Air Musueum to honor the life of Houlton pilot Billy Hogan. Billy Hogan was 28 years old when he disappeared during a flight from Danbury, Connecticut to Houlton, Maine in May of 1972.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help us cover Sanford City Council meetings. I began covering council meetings during my senior year of high school, as part of a school project. When I graduated high school this June, I opted to stick with the paper. I’ve continued to cover the meetings for multiple reasons, including my amazing fellow volunteers and the valuable real world experience this opportunity has given me. The key reason though, is because just like everyone else at the paper, I believe local journalism is incredibly important.
