DENVER ( KDVR ) — Two teens were taken into custody following a high-speed chase with a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy, and it was all caught on camera.

The video was posted on X by the sheriff’s office on Monday.

According to the department, the situation began with a report of a stolen truck and the two teens reportedly “breaking into” cars in Castle Pines.

The video is dash camera footage from the deputy’s vehicle and shows the deputy with their lights and sirens on, chasing the black truck that was reportedly stolen.

The sheriff’s office said the incident happened in the early morning hours and the roads were mostly empty.

After several seconds, the truck appears to enter an off-ramp and the deputy follows. The deputy then hits the back corner of the truck with his vehicle and causes the truck to spin 180 degrees before coming to a stop right in front of the deputy.

According to the sheriff’s office, a 15-year-old driver and 16-year-old passenger were taken into custody on multiple charges including possession of a gun.

“Thanks to the swift work by our #DCSO deputies and their commitment to keeping our Douglas County community safe,” said the sheriff’s office on X.
