The junior quarterback and his team, Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy, were looking to make a statement against the defending Class 9AA state champions, but the No. 1-ranked Trojans made a statement themselves, taking down the Phoenix 42-14 on what was an otherwise beautiful night for football. Tschetter threw for 215 yards, with touchdown passes to Dominic Sperling and Karter Weber, and also led the team in rushing with 31 yards. Parkston, meanwhile, was powered by standout Kolter Kramer, who ran for 210 yards and three touchdowns — including one that went for 98 yards — and also returned a punt for a 66-yard score.

The week will kick off with a blood drive on Tuesday, August 27th, at the Tiospa Zina Wambdi. On the same day, the boys' varsity golf team will compete in the Northeast Conference at the Dakota Winds Golf Course. The girls' varsity tennis team will also play Madison at the Milbank Tennis Courts.

Sunday Boredom Busters: August 25th
MADISON, SD (KELO) — The Historic Prairie Village west of Madison, SD is hosting a Steam Threshing Jamboree. Activities include steam & horse threshing, hundreds of tractors on display, sawmill & equipment demonstrations, tractor pulls and carousel rides. The hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $14, $4 for ages 6-12. Archery Outfitters in Sioux Falls is hosting a 3D Fun Shoot involving 3D foam animal targets from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $10-$20.
