Tennessee won’t remove people from voting rolls for not proving citizenship
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A new letter has been sent to thousands of Tennessee voters after a notice last month was criticized as possible voter intimidation. The June notice said voters had to prove they are a U.S. citizen or request to be removed from the voter roll. It also warned the registered voters that they would go to jail for up to two years for voting illegally.

Driver receives life-threatning injuries in John B. Dennis Highway crash
A 25-year-old Kingsport man sustained life-threatening injuries when his hatchback caught fire after hitting a tree below South John B. Dennis Highway early Friday. The preliminary report said the driver identified as Noah Pence struck the railing then collided with an SUV when he over corrected, sending his car over the hill and into a tree, igniting the vehicle . The SUV driver was not injured.
