Man Injured in Shooting Incident on San Antonio's West Side, SAPD Investigating
Earlier today, San Antonio's streets became the backdrop for a shooting incident that left one man injured. The San Antonio Police Department was called to the 300 block of North Pinto Street around 12:30 a.m., following reports of a shooting in progress. According to KENS 5, the 29-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to his arm but was fortunately in stable condition when transported to BAMC.

The San Antonio Police Department started investigating after the body of Alexis Jose Vegas, 20, was found near a drainage ditch by a passerby who called for help. Vegas was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators say he was riddled with gunshot wounds.

WACO, Texas — The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco is mourning the loss of one of its longtime residents, Jabba the Southern White Rhino. Jabba was born at Lion Country Safari, Inc. in Florida on Feb. 25, 1981, said the zoo. He reportedly died at the age of 43, being one of the oldest males of his species in any zoo worldwide, said the Cameron Park Zoo.

Farmers Branch and Carrollton are the most recent cities to vote in favor of reducing funds to DART by 25%.
