<body><div><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=0wXgoG_0vkQGgYM00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0wXgoG_0vkQGgYM00" width="980" height="653" ><figcaption>Steve McKay</figcaption></figure><h2>🔴 Police Arrest 3 More in Beef Heist</h2><h2>🔴 Authorities Believe An Organized Ring Involved</h2><h2>🔴 Ongoing Investigation</h2><p>The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office along with the Philadelphia Police and New Jersey State Police have made another bust in the series of beef heists that have plagued our region.</p><h2>Police Believe This Is an Organized Ring</h2><p>Authorities have been working to bust an organized crime ring they believe is responsible for a series of thefts over the past three years involving millions of dollars in stolen goods, including frozen beef.</p><p>Just over a week ago, police arrested several perpetrators as they tried to break into a trailer parked at the Molly Pitcher Rest area on the New Jersey Turnpike.</p><h2>3 More Arrested in Beef Heist</h2><p>On Tuesday morning, police arrested 3 more suspects as they attempted to break into a trailer parked on Edmund Street in Philadelphia.</p><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=30JKmL_0vkQGgYM00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=30JKmL_0vkQGgYM00" width="932" height="579" ><figcaption>Google Street View</figcaption></figure><p>The suspects attempted to steal thousands of dollars worth of beef from the trailer.</p><p>What they didn't know, was that they were being watched as they tried to haul away 25 cases of beef to their van.</p><p>Police swooped in and arrested the men before they could make their getaway.</p><p>Arrested at the scene were Douglas Mathis 36, Jamir Scott 25, and Tariq Duncan 31, all from Philly were charged with corrupt organizations, theft, and related offenses.</p><p>Bail was set at $200,000 each.</p><p>At this time, it is not known if this attempted heist is related to last week's attempted theft.</p><h2>Pennsylvania Attorney General says,</h2><blockquote><p>This was tenacious investigative work that involved collaboration between law enforcement agencies to stop high-value thefts from parked tractor trailers. I commend the timely work of our Organized Crime Section who tracked this crew and, essentially, caught them in the act.</p></blockquote><p>Earlier this year, while discussing another theft of beef in Philadelphia, Captain Jack Ryan with Northeast Detectives told <a href="https://6abc.com/post/thieves-steal-12-pallets-food-cargo-truck-theft/15062438/#:~:text=This%20time%2C%20bandits%20made%20off%20with%20%2415%2C000%20worth,a%20cargo%20trailer%2C%20swiping%20200%20cases%20of%20oxtail.">ABC6</a>,</p><blockquote><p>It's definitely a crime ring.
