Storm chances return to Arizona this weekend as monsoon rebounds
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The atmosphere will be a little more favorable for monsoon activity this weekend after days when the state has been virtually devoid of any rain. That shift comes as a ridge of high pressure sets up in a favorable pattern to the east of Arizona. In contrast, an unseasonal trough of low pressure presses into the Pacific Northwest. The storm will help intensify the high impact on our monsoon flow and should bring more moisture into the state from the south.
