Indiana awards $1.05M in grants to accelerate entrepreneurship
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) announced Thursday that $1.05 million in grant awards to accelerate entrepreneurial activity and resources statewide through its new Community Collaboration Fund (CCF). This investment will help power 32 community-led projects focused on entrepreneurial education, connection, and acceleration across Indiana, with a particular focus on underrepresented founders and underserved markets.
Pollinators & Plants Featured at Art Barn Exhibit Thru Sept. 27th
The Art Barn School of Art is excited to announce a current exhibit with regional artists about pollinator species and native plants titled “Butterflies and Beyond”, on display from now until September 27, 2024. An artist reception will be held at the Art Barn on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5-7pm, with a chance to meet the artists and enjoy light bites and refreshments. There will also be a Pollinator Pop-Up event taking place before the artist reception from 4-6pm. Drop-in at the Art Barn to make pollinator-themed art, participate in the Symbolic Monarch Migration project (more info at https://www.eealliance.org/symbolic-migration.html), and enjoy Art Barn’s Monarch-Maker Garden in full bloom. At 5pm, artist and naturalist Betsy Fleek will give a presentation on pollinator-friendly gardening at home about pollinator-friendly gardening, and participate in the Symbolic Monarch Migration project. In tandem with Art Barn’s 8th annual Art Blitz, there will also be a Butterflies and Beyond Market on September 21 from 9am-5pm to purchase a wide array of work from the exhibiting artists.
