Danville Police Search for Missing 12-Year-Old Male Last Seen in Vermilion River Enters Third Day
Danville Police along with the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources are resuming their search this morning for the 12-year-old juvenile who went missing while swimming in the Vermilion River. Additional resources and equipment have been brought in to aid the teams with their search.

Alabama Man Sentenced to 57 Months for Arson in Indiana, Family Home and Pets Lost in Deliberate Blaze
An Alabama man has been sentenced to nearly five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to arson for setting his father's house on fire in Connersville, Indiana, resulting in the death of the family's dog and cat. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana reported that 34-year-old Tommy Lee Harrison Sr. carried out the attack after traveling from his home in Birmingham, Alabama. Carmel sues property owner for operating short-term rental illegally
The City of Carmel filed a lawsuit July 11 against the owner of a home on Singletree Court that city officials claim is being illegally operated as a short-term rental. Four days earlier, multiple renters were carried out of the home on stretchers in what appeared to be a “mass drug overdose,” according to Christin Diehl, who lives next door.
