Echoes of Tradition: Highlights from the 98th Branstetter Park Homecoming
The 98th annual Branstetter Park Music Festival and Homecoming in Summer Shade, brought the community together for a weekend filled with music, games, and fellowship. The event, held on August 24-25, featured performances from local bands like Butler Hill Band and Hornets’ Nest Pickers, alongside an open mic session. Families enjoyed children’s games, races, and a silent auction, while concessions offered comfort food favorites. Sunday’s activities included a devotional, a memorial service, and special singing by Long Creek Bluegrass Gospel, culminating in a potluck lunch.
