Some great adoptable Kansas City cats: Featuring cats of just about every color
2024-03-08
If you want to add a bit of luxurious formality to your home life, we've got a pair of tuxedo cats for you this week plus a bunch of other wonderful felines in all varieties of colors that would fit just about any fancy.
Jingles and Tinsel
These two brothers are best buds, and they kindly request a family happy to adopt them together. They're wild ones, as kittens tend to be, and will speed through your house like it's Daytona, sliding around your floors, negating the need for a Roomba. The best part about adopting these two is all the money you'll save after cancelling your Netflix: they will be all the entertainment you need.
So you can get a better look at them, here's Jingles:
And then there's Tinsel:
Tinsel can be on the shy side, but it shouldn't take long for him to warm up to his new surroundings, especially if Jingles comes along for the ride. You can learn more about Tinsel here and Jingles here.
Brindle
The beautiful Brindle from The Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter is a sweetheart of a tortoiseshell and completely void of the infamous "tortitude." Her owner passed away and none in their family could take her in so she has plenty of reason to be sour. This girl is taking her punches like a real trooper though and remains kind and gentle.
Brindle is about six and a half and is FIV+. Many FIV+ cats life just as long as FIV- cats, but the diagnosis does mean she would need to be the only cat in the house to prevent transmission. I know a lot of you out there have plenty of cats already, but maybe you know someone you can sell on the exciting, enriching, enviable lifestyle that comes along with having a cat.
To learn more about Brindle and to perhaps set up an appointment to meet her you can fill out FOPAS' pre-adoption application here. There's no obligation.
Mable
We're making the rounds this week. First a couple of tuxedos, then a tortoiseshell, and next? A sweet tabby named Mable, from Great Plains SPCA.
Mable is a tiny cat who is described as "the perfect mix of playful and relaxed" which is a great quality to have in a cat. Sometimes it can be hard to really want to play with your cat, say after a hard day's work, and it is nice to have a cat that's happy just kicking up their paws while you kick up your heels.
Mable might be a little shy at first, but it won't last long, so go ahead and head over to Merriam and pay her a visit. Before you do, you can check out her Petfinder page here. And here is another pic of her. She's a cute one.
Mr. Marshmallow
There's not a description for Mr. Marshmallow, but with this guy's good looks he doesn't need one. Such a regal cat, and there's a picture of him being petted so one can gather that he's at least somewhat friendly. Let's just assume he's as nice as he is pretty.
I look at a lot of cat postings for these articles, and it is very rare to see a white cat up for adoption. So if you're interested, you might want to follow-up on him sooner rather than later. You can get in touch with Meowy Matchmakers about adopting this mysterious beauty here.
Walter White
Not too many pictures capture a cat's personality as well as this one of Walter White, a devotee of the belly rub. A two-year old orange tabby from The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA), Walter is a big bundle of joy begging you to take him home.
Walter White was named after the guy in Breaking Bad (I had to look that up), but this Walter White doesn't have a criminal bone in his body. Nor does he have a meth lab. Maybe a "meow-th lab" though. He was found outside in the cold and brought into TARA who became fast friends with this big guy. He's just full of love and is looking for someone that will keep him warm, play with him, and rub his belly for the rest of his days. In return, you get to play with him and rub his belly. That sounds fair.
That's it for this week. Want to look at more cats? Many of the cats from weeks past are still available. You can peruse those with this link to my profile.
