Gwen Stefani Heals & Adopts Kitten She Found ‘Hardly Alive’

Gwen Stefani announced the arrival of a new member of the Stefani-Shelton household. The singer took to Instagram recently to reveal that the couple adopted a stray cat who turned up at their home, found “hardly alive.” They introduced the cat as Corn Shelton, giving it an adorable name. Stefani also shared a video alongside the announcement, detailing the new member’s journey into their home as well as their hearts.

Gwen Stefani introduced the family’s new addition to the world through a heartwarming video. It showcased Corn Shelton in good spirits, a stark contrast to how they had found him at their home. In the caption, she said, “This is Corn Shelton. The day he showed up to our home, he was hardly alive + so sick, but with a lot of love + nurturing, he became a healthy kitten.”

Stefani added that they were “so grateful that he’s a part of our family.” The singer’s video showcases Corn Shelton’s transformational journey from being a sick cat to a healthy feline jumping and playing around. The opening clip showed the new member wrapped in a blanket and on Stefani’s knees. Meanwhile, the latter held the kitten with love as Corn let out a gentle squeal.

The following clip then showed Stefani’s husband and country music icon Blake Shelton playing around with a rather healthy and happy Corn Shelton. As the kitten walked about the house’s porch, Shelton said, “This one is doing incredible, getting fat!” Furthermore, Stefani shared an Instagram story of Corn playing around in her lap, soundtracked with her song “Somebody Else’s.”

According to Entertainment Weekly , Corn also made his television debut on The Voice Season 26 premiere. Stefani introduced him while joining fellow coaches Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg.
