Live On the Lawn Annual Concert and Oktoberfest Returns to Kuttawa
The Kuttawa Tourism Commission is hosting its fifth-annual music festival, Live on the Lawn V, on September 28 this year. Live on the Lawn Oktoberfest is also back for its third year in a row, along with the annual two-day Kuttawa Days Carnival Celebration on September 27 and 28. This event is located at Silver Cliff Park in Kuttawa. The free music festival will feature some tribute bands from across America, such as Noise Pollution: The AC/DC Experience, Hysteria When Wet: A Tribute to Def Leppard & Bon Jovi, and Poet’s Moon: A Nashville band with original music and classic rock covers. High Noon Moon will also be performing, a local band out of Murray, at the Oktoberfest.

NEGOTIATIONS ONGOING TO CONTINUE CAVE-IN-ROCK FERRY SERVICE
Kentucky and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) remains in negotiations with the Ferry Authority but has yet to finalize a new agreement for financial support of the Cave-in-Rock Ferry. The Ferry Authority and Kentucky officials have tentatively come to an agreement on a 13% increase in annual funding for the ferry. Discussions are underway with the Ferry Authority to review contractual language and to work to finalize the agreement to ensure it meets reimbursement guidelines and state procurement regulations.
